Safety & Well Being
Safety and Well-Being
The safety and health of all employees, volunteers and sub-contractors involved with Habitat for Humanity Wellington County (HFHWC) is a critical priority for the Management and Board of Directors of HFHWC. The ability to continue with our work and build affordable housing at the highest levels of quality means ensuring that the safety and health of our workforce is maintained at all times.
All volunteers are encouraged to complete their work in the safest way possible. Health and safety training workshops are available at the request of the volunteer or volunteer team.
Join us for a Volunteer Orientation Session from 6:30-8:00pm on the last Tuesday of every month (except for May 25th) to learn more safety tips as well as get an introduction to Habitat, what to expect as a volunteer, and a chance to meet other volunteers and learn about other opportunities within the office. While the session is not mandatory, we recommend that you attend to maximize your volunteer experience! Please RSVP the Friday prior to the training session by calling Annie at 519-767-9752 x34 or volunteer@habitatwellington.on.ca
All volunteers must sign a liability waiver and re-sign the waiver on an annual basis. Download and sign the waiver form, and return to the office (fax, mail, drop off or re-scan and email back). Once received in the office, you will be able to sign-up for shifts on the Volunteer site.
Upcoming dates include:
- January 31st
- February 28th
- March 27th
- April 24th
- May 29th
- June 26th
